Halo Competitive Scene
With the release of Halo Infinite, the halo competitive has hit new highs, and continues to grow! With the amateur and professional scene comes a set of rules which differ from the standard casual lobbies (Pubs). This page will cover the rules that are followed by the Professional and top amateur players, but rules and processes may vary based on the event organizers. The current official rules used in the Halo Champion Series (HCS) and in turn other amateur held events follow, can be seen below:
The basics:
PC/Xbox (Controller Only)
Players start with the BR75 in hand
Best of 5 series
2 Teams of 4 players (4v4)
4 game modes played in a predetermined order: Capture the Flag (CTF) - Slayer - Oddball - Strongholds - Slayer
Capture the Flag: First team to capture 5 flags or team with the most captures after 10 minutes?
Slayer: First team to reach 50 kills
Oddball: First to 2 round wins / First team to 100 points wins the round?
Strongholds: Team to reach 200 points wins / Earn points when fully team fully control 2 or more zones
Veto processes to determine the maps which will be played on each mode from a specific list of maps which are allowed to be played for each mode
